Qlikview offers an integrated business intelligence platform where end users can monitor corporate performance, perform instant querying, reporting and OLAP analysis in management cockpits and dashboard environments. Thanks to this platform, end users can instantly access all the data imported into the Qlikview environment, and can perform analyzes only with a point + click approach, with the patented in-memory and associative database features offered by the product. Thanks to an extremely easy user interface, which cannot be compared with similar Qlikview products, end users can access information and perform analysis without the need for any training.
The Qlikview business intelligence platform offers a number of components at the technology level that are different and more suited to today’s conditions compared to many traditional business intelligence platforms. All of these components are contained in a single module, and needs such as all ETL, Dashboard/Management cockpits, querying, reporting, OLAP analysis can be presented to application developers and end users through the same front-end. In this way, with Qlikview, end users have to learn only one front-end for different needs, and the IT departments that develop applications are faced with only one application development environment. This makes both application development and learning processes much faster when compared to traditional business intelligence platforms, and eliminates the need for inter-module integration that may be encountered in implementations.
The first of the main components in the Qlikview business intelligence platform is data integration (ETL Engine), and it is used to transform and consolidate data from different data sources by pulling them over OLEDB or ODBC. While the data is pulled into the Qlikview environment thanks to the ETL engine, Qlikview also applies a high compression algorithm on this dataset.
After the data imported into the Qlikview environment is compressed, it is transformed into a special structure thanks to the Association Engine, a patented technology of Qlikview. Thanks to Association Database or Associative Analysis, both the implementation process becomes very fast, and end users gain the ability to query, report and analyze with just point and click (point + click) approach instead of drag-and-drop methods.
